I'm pumping out a lotta posts right now. Blame it on the exciting novelty of starting the blog. Repressed cinematic thoughts just being purged. Ignore that for now, and take a look at some really intriguing trailers out this week.
First up is Warrior. At first it seems like a mixed martial arts version of The Fighter (more family drama than fighting flick) minus the Mass accents and bad hair. A teacher goes back to fighting to support his family and while his estranged younger brother is an ex-Marine and seeks the help of their also estranged alcoholic father for training. Everyone and their mom who watched Inception will recognize Tom Hardy as the younger brother. While that's enough to watch the movie alone, the trailer looks super promising.
Next up is Daydream Nation. Starring Kat Dennings in the main role, the movie looks like a mix between Juno and Easy A, as imagined by David Lynch (meaning, be sure to see some trippy, psychosexual messed up shit). All-in-all it looks a hell of a lot of good.
And just for fun, I'm gonna plop in the trailer of the 30min short Fight for Your Right - Revisted. It's exactly what you think it is and more, a short directed by one of the Beastie Boys themselves about the Beastie Boys (as played by Seth Rogen, Elijah Wood, and Danny McBride) shooting their iconic video while being visited by their future selves...yeah, that's right, as well as being peppered with a million an one cameos. Enjoy.
